Rotary Boreholes

Ground Check operate multi-purpose Comacchio GEO205, MC305 & MC405 rotary drilling rigs that provide a versatile platform suitable for use in all ground conditions, where boreholes can be drilled to depths exceeding 50m through overburden and bedrock.

The drilling method is recommended for use on all projects, particularly where it is necessary to penetrate layers of demolition fill, boulder obstructions and prove rock. The rigs also enable a seamless transition to follow-on rotary core drilling, which can be undertaken using either conventional triple-barrel or wireline GeoBoreS coring systems to provide high-quality Class 1 undisturbed samples.
